I was pleased to attend the Sadbhavna Satsang Samaroh in the benign presence of Shri Satpal ji Maharaj, organised by Manavutthan Sewa Samiti today at Tathagata Tsal, Rabongla.
I felt blessed and honoured to be bestowed felicitation by Maharaj ji during the auspicious Samaroh.
Welcoming the Satsang dharma followers and devotees from Sikkim, Bhutan Dooars, Kalimpong etc, I shared that Sikkim is a peaceful State where the environment is neat and clean with people living in complete harmony with Nature. There is perfect balance with humans and Nature with minimal human interference.
To have Maharaj ji amongst us is indeed a wonderful opportunity for all of us to learn from the great spiritual leader. The discourse of Maharaj ji at Chaar Dhaam few years ago has hugely promoted the pilgrimage site and has led to an increase in the number of visitors. I am certain that Buddha Park in Rabongla will get similar publicity with Maharaj ji’s gracious presence in today’s function.
I stressed on the fact that in today’s world, the biggest challenge lies in not knowing oneself. This important aspect of life is but known to a spiritual guru like Maharaj ji, of whom I am also a devout follower. We as ordinary human beings need to know ourselves first before exploring other things. All human beings have many desires and wants, and Sikkimese people are no exception. In Sikkim, despite the fact that the Government has been able to fulfill the basis minimum needs of the people, many are still unhappy. This is not because they are lacking in anything, but simply due to their greed and unlimited wants, which can never be fulfilled by anyone.
I made it known to all that the State Government has been working tirelessly for the State to progress and develop intellectually, economically and spiritually. I believe that real development can only be attained if there is a balance in development of intellectual, spiritual and mental capacity of human beings.
I informed the gathering that the Janta Mela will start from 17th December, 2018 in which welfare benefits would be distributed, including sanction orders/ cheques of works taken up during 32 days tour. I also directed all concerned to ensure that genuine beneficaries receive their dues in the mela. For this, only the list of beneficaries collected from the recently conducted house -to – house visit must be considered and not from any other source.
I made the announcement for building of another ‘Manav Dharma Ashram’ at Geyzing like the one which is being built at Namcheybong in Pakyong.
